Lullbeat Privacy Policy

How the Lullbeat app collects, uses, and protects your information.

LyHorizon is committed to protecting your privacy and developing health technology that gives you a safe and trustworthy experience. This Privacy Policy applies to LyHorizon’s platforms, including but not limited to the Lullbeat mobile application, and governs data collection and usage. By using the Application, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

This privacy policy applies to the Lullbeat app (hereby referred to as the “Application”) for mobile devices, created by LyHorizon (hereby referred to as the “Service Provider”) as a freemium wellness service. This service is intended for use “AS IS”.

1. Information Collection and Use

The Application collects and stores information when you download and use it. In the current version, most information remains on your device. This information may include:

A. Device & App Data

  • Device type, operating system version, and app version
  • Language and locale preferences you select in the app
  • App settings and onboarding completion status

B. Usage & Session Data

  • Fetal heart monitoring session records (timestamps, duration, estimated heart rate values)
  • Session statistics such as average BPM, peak BPM, and variability
  • History of monitoring sessions stored locally in the app

C. User-Provided Content

  • Profile information you enter (such as display name and due date)
  • Microphone audio recordings captured during monitoring sessions, stored locally on your device for playback and review
  • Subscription and premium status stored locally in the current version

D. Information We Do Not Collect

In the current version, Lullbeat does not require you to create an account to use core monitoring features. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your monitoring audio or session data for advertising.

If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to send (such as your email address and message content).

2. Data Sharing — Third-Party Access

A. On-Device Processing

Core monitoring features process microphone input on your device to estimate fetal heart activity and save session results locally. This data is not transmitted to LyHorizon servers for processing in the current version.

B. Third-Party Service Providers

We may use trusted third-party services to operate the Application. These may include:

Apple App Store App distribution, in-app purchases, and subscription billing (when enabled)
Apple iOS Microphone access, local file storage, and system-level app services

We do not share your monitoring audio, session history, or profile data with AI service providers, advertising networks, or data brokers.

If we introduce additional third-party services in future versions (such as subscription management or crash reporting), we will update this policy and disclose them here before they collect data.

C. Data Retention by Service Providers

Monitoring sessions, audio recordings, and profile data remain on your device until you delete them within the app or uninstall the Application.

Third-party providers we use are permitted to process only the data necessary to provide their services to us and are expected to protect that data under applicable agreements and laws.

3. Microphone & Audio Data Policy

This section addresses sensitive permissions related to fetal heart monitoring.

What we collect

The Application requests access to your device microphone to record audio during monitoring sessions. Audio is used to analyze signal patterns and estimate fetal heart rate.

Purpose

  • To enable fetal heart monitoring sessions
  • To save session recordings for playback and review within the app
  • To display session history and statistics

Sharing

Audio data from monitoring sessions is stored locally on your device in the current version. It is not uploaded to LyHorizon servers or shared with third-party AI providers.

We do not sell, rent, or share your audio recordings with data brokers.

Retention

Session audio and monitoring data remain on your device until you delete individual sessions, clear app data, or uninstall the Application. We do not permanently store raw audio on our servers in the current version.

4. Subscriptions & Purchases

Lullbeat may offer optional premium features through in-app subscription or purchase.

  • Payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store
  • We do not receive your full payment card details
  • Subscription status may be stored locally and/or verified through Apple’s purchase systems depending on the app version

5. Third-Party Analytics & Services

Current version: Lullbeat does not integrate third-party advertising SDKs or behavioral analytics platforms (such as AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Amplitude, or Mixpanel).

If we add analytics or crash-reporting tools in the future to improve app stability and user experience, we will update this policy to identify those providers and describe what data they collect.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction or deletion of your information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

You can delete local app data at any time by removing sessions within the app or uninstalling Lullbeat.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Application is intended for adults and expecting parents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

8. International Users

LyHorizon may process support-related information in countries where we or our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to protect information regardless of location.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Because most Lullbeat data is stored on your device, you are also responsible for maintaining the security of your device and operating system.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the Application after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Data Deletion & Contact

You can request deletion of information we hold about you, or ask privacy-related questions, at any time.
